Omer Van den Bergh is professor of Health psychology and the former coordinator of the research group health psychology at the faculty of psychology and educational sciences at KU Leuven and emeritus with assignment since October 2018. His expertise includes the relation between behavior and health, the physiology of stress and health and the relation between self-reported symptoms and physiological dysfunction and disease. In this context, he is involved in multiple national and international research projects and programs. He was the ombudsman of the KU Leuven until October 2020. Since the start of the corona pandemic, he is the co-chairman of the ad hoc working group “psychology and Corona”
