Koen Lowet is a trained clinical psychologist and Cognitive – Behavioral Therapist. He is currently the managing director of the Flemish Association of Clinical Psychologists (VVKP). He is member of the Executive Council of the European Federation of Psychologist’s Associations and a representative for the Global Psychological Alliance where he works on the role psychology could take up in facing global challenges such as mental health, climate change or migration. As the CEO of the country’s largest professional association of clinical psychologists, Koen is engaged in working with the government and stakeholders to cope with the mental health aspects of the COVID – 19 crisis.
